The
camping site lies in idyllic surroundings on the northern end of
Randsfjorden beside the Rv 34. 4 km north of Hov and about 110 km from
Oslo. From Oslo you
take the Rv 4 for Gjøvik. You leave it at Brandbu and drive about 60 km
in the direction of Dokka/ Fagernes. The route along
Randsfjorden is marked on many maps as being especially scenic. 4 km north
of Lyngstrand Camping is a bridge that takes one over to the west side of
the lake and the Rv 247. The distance from Lyngstrand to Dokka (to the
north) is 20 km, and to Gjøvik (east), the nearest town, 30 km. Jevnaker (with
Hadeland Glass Factory), Fagernes and Lillehammer all lie within a one
hour’s drive from Lyngstrand Camping. For further

following the link to the left called “Kart over området” (map of the
area). Timetables for
the “Landekspressen” (Land Express), which is the bus that goes twice
a day between Oslo and Dokka. It stops just north of Lyngstrand Camping.
The stop is called “Bjørnerud”. If you want times for buses from
Lyngstrand to Oslo then you can use the time from Hov and subtract about 5
minutes. In other words the bus leaves the Bjørnerud stop 5 minutes
before it leaves Hov. From Oslo you can add on 5 minutes to the time to
